Former safety recommendations for a-PiHP:
Eye contact: Rinse the eyes carefully with water for at least 10 to 15 minutes; remove contact lenses if possible.
Skin contact: Rinse the skin with water, and use soap where possible.
Inhalation: Provide fresh air and assume a position that promotes breathing.
The powder had to be stored far from heat sources. Storage in a dry environment at room temperature and in suitable packaging was essential. Keeping out of reach of children was crucial for safety. Under these storage conditions, a-PiHP powder remained stable for up to two years.
